Regata Storica
The Regata storica is still today one of the most spectacular moments, picturesque and amazing for the civic life, at the same time charming the tourists and to excite with passion the locals. A historical procession – a file of boats typical of the fifth century, at the front end is the characteristic Bucintoro (Bucking Bull), the boats represent the Serenissima – evokes the welcome reserved in 1489 to Caterina Cornaro who married the King of Cyprus, that renounced the throne in favour of Venice. Follow the real competition in which the spectators participate passionately shouting encouragement as real fans do!
